Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
Articles
Section default policyCase Report
Case Reports present detailed descriptions of unique, rare, or educational clinical cases relevant to ophthalmology and visual sciences. Submissions should provide valuable clinical insights, novel diagnostic approaches, uncommon disease presentations, innovative treatment strategies, or important lessons for clinical practice.
All Case Reports undergo peer review and must comply with ethical standards, including obtaining informed patient consent where applicable. Authors should ensure that patient confidentiality and privacy are protected throughout the manuscript.
Manuscripts should generally include the following sections:
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Case Presentation
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Patient Consent Statement
- References
Case Reports should emphasize the clinical significance of the case and its contribution to ophthalmic knowledge and practice.
